The Future Of Tourism In Thailand

The tourism industry in the country of Thailand plays a very important role in its economy. To give light to its future, Tourism Authority of Thailand or TAT organized a seminar this coming June 16 which will last the entire day. The seminar will be held in Chiang Mai and was scheduled accordingly with another event, the Travel Mart Plus 2017. It comes as no surprise that they have to organize this event because even hotel near Phrom Phong BTS is always flocked with tourists. These will help personnel learn more about what they can improve in the country’s tourism sector.

The seminar will be hosted at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event will start at 8 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon. There will be three groups during the event – academic professionals, Northern Thailand’s college and university students as well as personnel from the tourism and hospitality department.

According to YuthasakSupasorn, the governor of TAT, the seminar is part of the mission embodied by TAT Academy which is to aid in the improvement of personnel working for the tourism of the country and boost the competitiveness of the tourism industry. It is also their aim to attract more people into working in the booming industry. There will be sessions for senior officials of the tourism industry together with hospitality professionals who are already experienced on the field. These sessions are devised in a way for them to learn more and to have an opportunity to share their knowledge.

The agency hopes that at the end of the seminar, participants will be able to have a new perspective with regards to the tourism of the country and how it can be beneficial to the version 4.0 framework of smart economy that the government of Thailand is adapting.

YuthasakSupasorn will be the one giving a keynote address regarding the Tourism 4.0 framework and after which, TirasanSajatsapas who is the Minister of Tourism and Sports’ Adviser will be presenting about Digital Marketing.

With the sessions, participants will be able to learn how a simple hotel near PhromPhong BTS can help in the tourism industry of the nation. The event will showcase booths by TAT Academy to display all their projects.
